We won Game 1 6-3. The Legend of Ted Eisthen continues to grow. Picks up the ball and throws 6 innings, striking out 11. Peaches hit a double and triple while picking up the save. Bud had 3 singles and Jade Alberts was 2-3 with the game winning RBI. Chris Grimes and Ryan Earl, the new Longhorns, looked great. ——— We had a tough start to Game 2. Gabriel walked the first 6 batters and gave up 4 runs. Coach Rex yanked him with 0 outs. He was getting pinched on a few calls, but the 10 wild pitches didn’t help. At least none went over the backstop. He bought Chris a few beers for making work behind the plate. Gabriel did hit one target tonight, he drained a beer in the can in the garbage bin and this earned him a shotgun. He did a 5 second shotgun, which is pretty slow, but the highlight was turning around a puking. Very tough debut.
