Calgary Police have surrounded a Lake Bonavista home where a man is believed to be in possession of a fire arm. According to police, officers responded to a domestic call between a husband and wife at the home on Thursday evening. When police arrived at the home Thursday, the man left before they could speak to him. A warrant for his arrest was placed. Friday afternoon, two officers escorted the wife back to the home to collect her belongings. When they arrived they encountered the husband. The husband ran from police and locked himself in the garage. The officers did not chase the man as he was believed to be in possession of a gun. Police are negotiating with the man and he has handed over a gun. Police are not certain if the man has any other guns with him in the garage.
